Compact and nearly unnoticed
An elevator can fit in a space as small as 20 square feet. The elevator shaft typically looks like a closet with the elevator shaft door matching the other doors in the home.  Additionally, many architects and builders are designing space into new homes for a future elevator. Every two-story home should be built with this option in mind for the future.

An accessible home is a home for life
No need to move out of your home when you encounter mobility problems. An elevator can also allow you to care for aging parents at home – saving the cost and emotional turmoil of assisted living facilities.

Sometimes it can be more economical to go taller rather than wider

Adding an elevator can allow you to gain square footage in the home by going up with additional levels.  This can be especially useful in narrow or waterfront lots. The cost of the elevator and additional square footage can typically be offset by savings of a smaller overall footprint of the home… making it an environmentally sound solution.

Home Elevators are an affordable solution – not just for the wealthy

Do you remember when only a Millionaire could afford a home elevator? In reality, a home elevator can be as low in cost as a midsize car, providing you plan ahead when designing your home. The cost of a home elevator can be right in line with a great media room or high end professional kitchen appliances.  For years, developers have been building “up”, rather than “out” using elevators as an economical way to get as many homes as possible on prime locations.

Elevators can increase the resale value and marketability of a home
An elevator opens the doors to more potential buyers … those concerned about future accessibility needs for themselves, their friends and their relatives.  Practicality aside, an elevator is a tasteful touch of luxury that makes a big impression. Many architects & designers are designing homes with stacked closets, so if the need arises a shaft is ready and waiting for your elevator.
